@media 2006 - Geek tattoos

@media 2006 - Geek tattoos by Francis Storr.
I don't know who these belong to, but I sat next to their owner during Robin Christopherson's "Beyond A Code Audit" presentation. They seemed too perfect not to ask to take a snap of them. Sir, I salute you (and hope you don't mind the "geek" sobriquet)

That is non-conforming SGML! Where is the <love> closing tag? Where is the </hate> opening tag? Tsk Tsk

Newport (Og): Surely the non-conformance depends on the DOCTYPE? It might not be SGML, just Transitional HTML - the W3C specs are littered with unclosed tags - just check out the list item spec.

Chris: I'm sure I saw you a few times wandering around the venue during @media. A belated hi :)

Hi there. I signed up to just say hello. They are, in fact, my wrists :-) Invalid code, I know, sorry guys...!

Thanks for my five minutes of fame, I never even got your name, sorry!

On a sidenote, Chris, I said hi to you on the first day when we were talking to David the university lecturer guy.

Cheers :)

Ah, cool :)

I was wondering if the owner of the tattoos would ever find this pic. You won't believe the amount of people whose first comment has been about the invalid code; I guess it's a good thing that people are so aware of the need to validate!

Anyway, it's cool that you're "here". Enjoy the fame, LOL

Yes, it's an invalid code, but it makes sense if you read it out loud.

Nice capture !!!

And BTW, to all the people who say the tag, ending with tag is invaid, you can tell them that it needs another pair of hands to complete itself and give it meaning ;)

Hi. It might interest you to find that this picture was featured here: www.geeksaresexy.net/2008/11/26/wednesday-gee ky-pics-geek...

And yes, you wouldn't believe how many people have told me it's "invalid", but like foursevensix said, you need to say it aloud for it to make sense :)

I like this concept.....I know the codes are "invalid" but to me it signals that no matter how much you love someone - those feelings will always eventually turn to hate somewhere along the line :(

Tattoos signify far more than real life values anyway, so for me the fact that the code is invalid doesn't bother me - a great idea!
