The Parthenon, Acropolis, Athens
The Parthenon in Greece, now a ruin. But did you know it stood in good condition (and was used for worship) until the 17th Century?

I did not know, but I did remember it in even more ruin... was it not too hot and of august there?

I think there has been some restoration work - August was hot but I'm quite used to it having lived in Morocco.
Other shots in the set show the scaffolding showing restoration work was ongoing.

Good Morning!
I am working on the design of a new building exhibition at Discovery Place in Charlotte, North Carolina. Discovery Place is a non-profit hands-on science and technology center aspiring to ignite wonder in all visitors. We are currently redesigning all of our permanent exhibits and this project focuses on a new exhibition exploring "why we build?" through interactive activities.
One of the buildings we'd like to feature is the Parthenon. Is it possible for us to use your image in our exhibit?
Regards,
