Around thirty firefighters using six fire appliances were called to a flat fire on Lillie Road in Fulham.

The blaze was contained to around half of a five roomed flat on the sixth floor of the 17 storey tower block. 25 people left the building before the Brigade arrived. The London Fire Brigade (LFB)control room received over 20 calls to the incident.

 

Lisa Hicks an LFB Station Manager who was at the incident said: "Firefighters were on the scene very quickly and worked successfully to stop the fire from spreading to neighboring flats. Fortunately no-one was injured in this incident and our crews will now be visiting properties in the area to talk to residents about fire safety."
