Tesla was carrying a paper-wrapped bundle under his arm. He looked furtively to the left, to the right. He walked hurriedly, the brim of his fedora pulled down over his brow. She noticed, as he passed by, the scent of jasmine and smoke, the incense of his ever-charged mind. He gave her a half-smile and hurried up the stairs. She watched two men in black overcoats following, following...

Tesla has always seemed such a mythological creature. Has anyone read Spider Robinson's books about Callahan's Crosstime Saloon? Tesla lives on in those books, along with Heinlein's cat. The books are in Science fiction, but they have little science and many bad puns, and a lot of love. They are great fun to read. I think they are fiction, but how can you really know? Nikky says they are mostly true.
