I noticed Linda on my way to catch the Lamma Island ferry to Hong Kong. She was sitting on a bench next to the gates, catching a few rays of sunshine before the clouds came over(again). Hong Kong has been having some real shocking weather lately - 8 weeks of mild to extreme humidity combined with overcast skies does not make people smile to easily. In the background you will notice 2 chimney stacks, 1 is obscured, these are from our very own power station - just like an Asian Springfield!
Linda is a French teacher at a school in Hong Kong and she has been living on Lamma Island for over a year now - surprisingly it has quite a large number of French expats! I told mentioned to her that I have never seen her on the island before and she said she has strange ferry times. This is quite true as I have been living on the island for more than 6 years now and I always see the same people on the same ferry as me, but if i take a later or earlier ferry you can see a whole 'boat load' of other, some familiar and some not!
