the name of this cat perhaps is ...Robespierre?? [comment by fratella]
frizz: or Barack Obama, Wilhelm Tell, Garibaldi, Genghis Khan?
I propose we ask my daughter Pia, her husband has done the shot in Bavaria...
comment by marineavoile: Always this need to be where the action is. In the city, it is on our papers in front of our computer screen, in the country, I guess it is on the chopping block. He did tuck his tail away neatly, though, he is no fool!
comment by El Paso Joe: Well, it's a good thing we don't eat cats for Thanksgiving.

tolles Bild, perfect example of why I like cats: because of their apparent imperturbability (unerschütterlichkeit).

I'm really intrigued though not surprised how the cat manages to be just about the only thing out of focus in the entire picture

I just saw Wolf Totem at the bookstore last week!

You have a vague sensibility and intellect that appeals to me a great deal. You have always had a good "photoEye" for composition but more importantly appreciate a complex psycho image such as this black cat.
However my friend as I compare the depth of field / focus on the ax handle and the cat, I think perhaps this was more an image of your mind and some PS than a natural occurrence.

This cat knows you love him or he has never seen an axe before.
