Here is a shot of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse located in Newport, Oregon. I realized I did not have a real close up of this beautiful lighthouse, so this shot was a must! I spent a good four and a half hours wandering around the grounds, the tide pools and the inside of the lighthouse.
The Yaquina Head Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse on the Oregon coast. It sits out on the Yaquina Headland and is surround by rich tide pools and nesting grounds for birds. Seals also make their home on some of the offshore rocky islands.
This is a combination of three exposures (-2,0,+2) merged and tonemapped in Photomatix. I then cropped in Photoshop as well as removed some signs and rails from in front of the lighthouse with the "Clone Stamp" tool. I ran through Topaz Adjust to help bring in some detail and to highlight the clouds a bit. I did process wanting this sort of "Painted" look here. I also added a bit of grain to the image in Lightroom as well as a subtle vignette.
