I took this during the "Blue Hour" when I was in Salt Lake City last month! I took my nephew around, after I bought him a new camera, and was teaching him how to take pictures and compose a shot! This is the state capital building just above the downtown area.
We drove around above the capital trying to find some good views of downtown. It is really hard to get a good shot without losing downtown in all the city lights, especially from Ensign Peak. We did find a decent spot, and I may post that shot later.
This is a combination of three exposures (+2,0,-2) at about 30 seconds a piece, merged and tonemapped in Photomatix. Cropped in Photoshop and some final adjustments in Lightroom2.
Thank you for the views, comments and faves! I appreciate them.
