I finally started using up my fussy cut hexes! I'm going on a three day quilting retreat starting Friday and I thought it would be nice to make myself a big roomy tote for all my supplies.
22 hexes in total all one inch in size. I used invisible thread and machine appliqued them on. I ironed them so so so much and each little point is so wonderful! They are all hand sewn together before the paper is removed. After pressing them, I removed the papers, then ironed them again. Then they were pinned into place and sewn on.
I used super gorgeous linen. The lining is Erin Michaels paint swatch fabric, I used it because it has all the same colors as the hexes, so so so much fun! The polka dots are from Momo Wonderland. I hand sewed the top binding on. The handles are I believe Clover and from Japan. They were also hand sewn on and I totally pushed my needle through my finger nail. EEEKK!!!
The bag is machine quilted, in hindsight I wish I'd done french seams on the inside of the bag. But that's ok!
ETA: omg thank you so so so much everyone! I've gotten several messages asking if I'd sell this bag and this is my own personal bag, I'd rather not part with it just yet :):)
*Please do NOT copy this bag!!!!! It is an original design! Thanks for your understanding :)*

I have a newbie question!
How do you sew the patchwork to the main cloth? for example, in your bag, to the main body of it.. using your machine o by hand?
(I hope you understand, English is not my first language... hehe)
Thanks in advance!
Your work is great! I'm learning patchwork with tutorials online. =)
