These funny little toy people seem so out of place in this setting!

Probably Edwards Air Force Base. The calendar says January 1952. The midst of the Korean War. I don't know why the person is being handed a North American Airlines ticket (if it even is a ticket). But check out the cute little toys at the bottom of the picture!

My grandpa is the guy in the striped suit.
