facing the sunlight, showing my hair (or lack of)

I gave myself a haircut. It's easier when things are kept short. I'll be 40 in a few weeks, and so it's not a surprise I'm thinning up there, right? But it's been this way since 2000, back when my hair thinned because of a prolonged illness. I was very sick for about 8 months, lost a lot of weight, was gaunt and weak, and I guess my hair decided it should take leave of me. At least some of it. And it's been this way for about 8 years - no more loss, no more gain. Weird. Here I am facing the sunlight so everyone can see it better! :)
