Identifying note: Officer Jack Overton walks toward camera. Believed to be among these protesters are Shelia Pride (in white blouse next to shop window) and Althea Gibson (sleeveless top). Kitty Johnson, Melvin More, and the Rev. Richard Hale (pastor, St. James AME Church) are also reported to have been present.
