Fireworks NY 2006/2007

5. The eye is drawn upwards from the bottom, as the third place - (Top 1/3rd is off-centre both vertically and horizontally - it's good to get focal point off centre)
6. Horizon line of people is beginning of the eye's second sweep - and being in the Bottom 1/3rd and off centre, it maintains interest.
8. Texture of the sand leads the eye up towards the other images
2. The eye starts here
3. The eye goes here second, leading to the fireworks
7. These people are the start of the third sweep of the eye, leading towards the base of the fireworks.
1. There are several triangles which keep your eyes on it for a long time, always searching for more...
10. Use of negative space is great as it doesn't distract the eye from the focal points, so images are not overcrowded.
4. Movement always attracts the eye.
9. Several layers - strong foreground, mid-ground and background - again, the eye will keep going over and over for more looks.

I like this perspective, nearly all fireworx photos are shown with just the bangs and trails, and maybe the shadow of a building or 2. This is good composition....Must try for this look in front of the concert stage tomorrow night, hopefully I can use the lit stage as a focussing point. Good Job Andre.
