When we moved from our old place, I had to chop down this Fred because it was so huge it couldn't be moved. So I went totally Paul Bunyan and chopped it down to its base. Now, life begins again.

My mom is the queen of pruning. Our neighbors in North Carolina gasped when she pruned all the azaleas in our front yard down to their nubs, but they came back more spectacular than ever. She's fearless with the shears.
