Re sensor noise: just spend $69 on a PS plugin like Noise Ninja or Imagenomics and continue the righteous war on sensor noise! :-)

Actually, I just tone the noise down (with the plugin) rather than try to eliminate it. Too much sharpness and many details become collateral damage in the war.
