      Istanbul's equivalent of that famous early 20th century skyscraper in New York (the Seagram building?).

      Blue paint, dilapidated, but still occupied - see the washing hanging out to dry, and with some dubious electrical wiring going on.

      It's common to see photographs of Istanbul buildings where the cars in the street seem to be worth more than the building itself! And this is a good example of that.

      Also, I have a fascination for urban trees, and the tree that's somehow surviving so close to this building is great.

      Is that a tomb stone at the front of the building?! Very odd.

      All round, this is a very engaging photo.
