The Walker House - Another View

The Walker House - Another View by Frank Rytell.
"This stone structure, built on the beach side of Scenic Road on Monterey Bay, lies mostly below street level, seemingly a natural extension of the rocky promontory at this curve in the beach front. Two materials have graced the living room roof, porcelain enamel, and copper. It is necessarily cantilevered from the masonry core so that no weight rests on the corbelling bands of glass. These windows block a direct breeze, but admit a gentle current of air. The master bedroom has been enlarged."

— William Allin Storrer. The Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright: A Complete Catalog. project 306.
