Tracks

Tracks

I was at green bottom playing with some lenses and as I pulled out to leave I glanced down the tracks and had never realized how it looked. I pulled over on the road and walked down to the railroad tracks and proceeeded to take this shot. HDR with 13 exposures using the Promote Control, I didn't care for the standard exposure of this one, didn't cover the shadows the way I like.

Playing with my new 70-200 f/2.8L lens and it's simply amazing! I can't find a photo to do it justice. So I do the first thing that comes to mind: I play fetch with my dog while playing with the camera.

This will be a lot of fun come spring time

Silence and Respect

Silence and Respect

Each year on the second week in December, a cemetary in Barboursville places candles on each grave. There is a lot of traffic through here but it is surprising even with the people there it was still overall quiet and somber.

I'm not particularly happy with this shot, but it was the better of the ones I had, and a one night only show it seems. However, I still like the feel from it.

Cincinnati Skyline 2

Cincinnati Skyline 2

I couldn't decide which photo of the skyline I liked the best, so I decided to post both of them.

I had taken my niece and her boyfriend to a concert which left me a few hours to kill, so I do what I do best, go find things to shoot.

I drive around until I find something that catches me eye(with the assitance of the map on my ipad for where to go) and set up. It was quite an eventful night for reasons that I won't go into here, but suffice to say I won't forget my gun in the city again haha.

Nevertheless the night yielded these wonderful photos. They were combination of 11 exposures in HDR in order to cover the visual range of the skyline.
