Chimp Maaike

'Maaike' she was a gift for our former king Boudewijn from Mobutu.
Because he looked so skinny and pale...
Well , she was in the news papers all over the world. About the illegal character of the gift. Of course she didn't got eaten....she is among the most intelligent creatures I know. And sometimes she gives you that 'look'.

Maaike is quit special. She used to steal the keepers coats with a stick ...and they used to be mad on eacht other. ;-) She got caught doing it once. She could not pull the stick back into her cage.
