“A cool style of living”, hand carved with special chisels & other tools out of slow – freezing processed clear ice blocks.
Clear, transparent ice results of the freezing method, not necessarily related to the clarity of the water, foggy ice, like ice from the lake, is mostly the result of trapped air molecules that tend to bind to the impurity while naturally freezing. Mechanically clear ice is usually made as the result of controlling the freezing process by the circulation of the water in the freezing chamber. This process hopes to eliminate any trapped air from binding to the impurities during the freezing process. Certain machines & processes allow for slow freezing & the removal of impurities, therefore are able to produce the clear blocks of ice that are favored by ice carvers. Ice sculptures can be of any size, from miniatures the present for example caviar to whole fantasy villages or landscapes like in Harbin, China with 80 mtr tall buildings. Colour effects can be reached by light or colouring the water before freezing.
