Sakura Synthesis

My digital cherry blossom experiment. A test of rules, recursion, and randomness, with a bit of an origami feel to it.

Modeled entirely in Structure Synth and rendered with sunflow. Check it out large.

spinjam_it: Thanks...and to think that it's only a handful of lines of eisenscript to encode this thing. The lighting and background are more of a sort of studio cyc' setup, and I wanted to keep the clean white against the pink. But you're probably right. I might try a different set of shaders. What would you suggest for the lighting, tho'? I have a single source just above behind camera-right aside from the ambient occlusion.

groovelock: Ah...the floor is diffuse, not AO. Maybe that'll help you?
