Does anybody want a PS3?

With a day until the PS3 launches in Europe the Newcastle Virgin Megastore still has 72 left to pre-order. Is there any point?

And I still can't get a Wii.

At over £400 ($800) for one.... in a country where the uptake of HD TVs is far behind the states, no killer launch games and lack of movies on Blu Ray... yah... this shiny box with a Spiderman movie typeface logo isn't going anywhere...

My brother got a ps3 last week at circuit city(they had plenty in stock), after 2 days the newness wore off and he realized it looked about the same as his 360, even when running off hdmi to his 42" plasma and is wondering about taking it back. With the service plan, ps3 and tax he wasted over 1000$ on it.

I didnt think he should get the service plan but the lady said they have had alot of comebacks, she thought because of new technology

You keep telling yourself that. I can honestly say I'm satisfied with the Wii and only the Wii. Absolutely no interest in the PS3, but that's just me.

I don't want one, even if I could afford it I still wouldn't get one. I don't really want Bluray, i'd rather HD-DVD or DVD since they have faster read times, the PS3 is losing exclusives and the games are going multi-platform to the 360, the 360 still has better graphics, the cell isn't very impressive as a gaming cpu, linux runs like on a pentium3, there's no decent titles on the ps3 yet, the six-axis is a bad knockoff of the wii & there's no force feedback.

No thanks, Wii60 > PS3

Personally I'll be getting the PS3. I already own a Wii which I love, but Nintendo are running out of good titles already.

why cell is no impressive on linux game is because the game is not design for cell processor. they don't even use 100% of cell processor in ps3 game's yet.

I have PS3, and I have wii, when my friends come I play wii with them, but I can enjoy my PS3 alone.

Still considering to buy 360 (but I don't want to regret after I heard a rumors that 360 will release a new limited edition console, which including HDMI output... let see if in the future it will release another limited edition for build-in HD-DVD. when I buy console it mean you don't need to upgrade, when I buy PC is upgradeable. I think microsoft got misunderstanding about console world and pc world)
I 'll wait for the limited edition.

Seriously though, when I heard that the six-axis wireless control needs to be plugged in when you first start up for them to work I almost couldn't believe it. That’s just incompetent.
