If I was paranoid I would say that this is the same herring gull that
made my life a misery last week by roosting on a telegraph pole by my
back bedroom window - but I will give him the benefit of the doubt!
This morning, as I always do, I opened my lounge window and got my
camera fired up before putting food out on the lawn. In the 10 seconds
it took me to get back inside and pick up the camera the garden was a
heaving mass of gulls and I reeled off 20+ shots of departing tails!
This was one of only two images that were either in focus or did not
just include the butt end of a gull!
Behind the fence you can just make out the head and feet of a terrified jackdaw!

I saw this magnificent wildlife image in Born Free, Living Free ,
a group dedicated to the photography of wildlife in their natural habitat.
