Common Broom - Cytisus scoparius

A close relative of gorse, broom also thrives on sunny, dry, poor quality sandy soils. It is very hardy and can survive temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius.

It is native to North Western Europe although it has become an invasive weed in many other countries.
