Eat, DRINK and be merry - Hogmanay Street Party, Dornoch, Scotland

Every year on New Year's Eve Dornoch stages a Hogmanay Street Party in the town square. There is live music and dancing, the local pipe band perform and a lone piper heralds the new year from the roof of the Bishops Palace (now the Castle Hotel). After the bells of the cathedral ring in the new year there is a firework display, more dancing and then a disco in the social club until the early hours
