Preparing for Climate Camp 2008 at Kingsnorth, Kent IMG_4432

Wannabee police FIT loitering with suspicious intent outside SUMAC (a perfectly respectable social centre in Nottingham) whilst a few people assemble therein to discuss this year's ('08) forthcoming Climate Camp.
One can't help wonder why, in an allegedly "free" and "democratic" society the cops should deploy such surveillance against a previously-announced legal and peaceful public meeting.
Is this the freedom our forefathers gave their lives to defend against a fascist dictator in the '40s?

Hey sime, there was a lot of bullshit put out by the cops about the protesters. Claims that they found "caches of weapons" and so forth. All utter crap. They just wanna demonise and criminalise legitimate protest.

Although most of my more recent photos are now just straightforward "all rights reserved" generally I still have no objection to their being used elsewhere providing its for non-commercial purposes and I get a credit. And its really nice to get a note from the person using them, so thanks.
