Hart Mountain certainly qualifies as "Hidden Oregon," besides being remote it isn't often visited. Yet this massive fault block mountain offers some of the most unique and stunning ecology in the state. In this image you can see the playas below in the Warner Valley. While we were here there was a massive flock of Sandhill Cranes using the Hart Lake area, but I would love to see the playa with water in it at migration. Bird city I am sure! Lots of hot springs in the area make for an added bonus.
