Please View 'Star Trails Over Tetons' Large On White.
Star Trails from a roughly 20-30 min exposure of the stars above Jackson Lake at Grand Teton National Park. This was taken the night after the earlier twilight shot from Jackson Lake and unfortunately there was some cloud cover (see the large cloud up top left), but I sort of like how the cloud looks here.
I decided to try my luck doing star trails with the D70 again. I think this one came out better than my last D70 effort, but if I want longer and cleaner streaks I have a feeling I will need to pick up photo-stacking techniques. Or return to film for longer star trails, hah (here's a link to a scanned one I did on film awhile back).
And in case you didn't know the red star streaks are from the cooler stars, while the blue come from the hottest!
