World Cup inspired mural at the Caxton
Publishers Building in Craighall. Drawn by Peter Henry Nsimbe from Pretoria. Caxton Publishers had earlier in the year invited artists fromm all walks of lief to compete against each other for the coveted prize of painting the almost 15 metre long wall that surrounds the publishers officies in Craighall, Johannesburg, right on the infamous Jan Smuts Road. Peter won with a landslide victory as he presented his idea of incorporating the 2010 Fifa World Cup host country's cultures and welcoming spirit. "I had a vision of African warriors welcoming all the visitors from the different countries during the 2010 Fifa World Cup", Peter said. When asked if he found the mural difficult to paint he shook his and said "other than the rain hampering progress, it was quite simple!"
