Wow, I'm just imagining how much the kids in our village must have been freaking out, they love the man sooo much, some of them cry when we burn him. Also without the neon at night it must be really hard to orient yourself. You know that weird disorienting feeling you have after he burns, the night before the temple, and everyone is stealing the street signs and it just feels kind of imminently sad and confusing. I wonder if it was a bit like that -- a massive group freak out. It's just hard to immagine.
