Pulgas Water Temple
![]() The Pulgas Water Temple (Hetch Hetchy Aqueduct) is part the San Francisco Water Department located off Cañada Road in San Mateo County.
"2.3 million households and business depend on the water coming through these reservoirs in the Peninsula Watershed. ---- Much of this water originates in the snow capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountain, is captured in the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir in Yosemite National Park, then flows by gravity to these Peninsula reservoirs. The waters of the Peninsula and the Sierra combine to provide clean, pure water for users in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Alamade counties." - SF Water Dept. temple like this or the one in Sunol is--a
monument to water and engineering and such or
does it have some other function? Just
pondering...
