Another mildly interesting capitol. We spent two days here motorbiking in the MOST INSANE traffic we have ever seen!!! Not a single law is obeyed, even the most fundamentally logical safety laws. Just one small example: A full on SUV driving on the opposite side of the road to bypass the queue and make a left turn on a red light across three lanes of traffic making dozens of other motorbikes swerve or stop to get out of the way...and no one even gets mad or honks, because this is NORMAL. So we're glad to be alive. The sights here are all rather depressing about the Kmer Rouge genocide under Pol Pot (WAY crazier than we'd ever realized). Killing fields, sick torture prisons, and piles of human skulls among the highlights. Terrific food in the city though! And we had a great guest house!
