I think Udaipur is normally more gorgeous with it's shimmering blue lakes, which were now more like swamps during the dry season. Still the city has much charm, though if we could afford to stay in one of the $300 - $2000 per night hotels, I think we would have had an even more splendid time as this city caters to the extreme rich with it's many palaces to stay in. Still, we had a very nice hotel for a much more reasonable $6 per night and stayed in room 007 which is fun because James Bond Octopussy is filmed here...we felt special.
