   earliest possible date for this is March 22, 1982 the first launch with an unpainted external fuel tank.

   although it really doesn't look like Columbia, with its black chines, which would push the earliest date back to April 4, 1983 - Challenger's first flight.

    Nice enough picture, crummy scan job though, because it is backwards. Download the image and use an image editing program that allows you to flip the image horizontally and you will see how it is supposed to look.
