Florida Keys, Old Railroad Bridge

About the only really notable thing about this picture near Bahia Honda State Park in the Florida Keys, is that I took it while driving by last weekend, at 50 mph. Every turn along the Overseas Highway is a scenic picture spot. If you stop at all these photo spots, you'll never get to your destination. Of course if you make it a habit of snaping photos while driving, you probably won't make it to your destination either!

Next time I promise to stop! Heck, I might even break out a fishing pole and join the guy in this photo. I've driven by this view of the ocean and the railroad bridge dozens of times during the last few years, and never bothered to take a picture, let alone fish! We have a vacation rental home just twenty minutes away on Cudjoe Key towards Key West. When guests come to visit our house, I always tell them to stop and enjoy the view. Now after five years of living in the Florida Keys, I'm taking my own advise.

You don't have to vacation here to enjoy this view!
