NGC2237 Rosette Nebula Sii/Ha/Oiii

    Newer Older

    STL6303/AO/Moag/TOA-130
    All 3nm Astrodon filters.
    Ha 8X900 bin1, Oiii/Sii 7X600 bin 2 (4 hours 20 minutes total)
I think I like this pallete the most, mapping H-alph to blue, Oiii to green, and Sii to red. Just seems to be more sensative to my eye, picking up the usually fainter Sii infomation.

Well...lots of detail...but even the sky seems pretty blue...(!)
      All the best for Easter.

      Dave,
The entire field has a strong H-alpha signal. On the right hand side edge of this image is where the Ha data is closest to being equal to the others. Typical values in this regiion have an RGB ratio 19,20,20 which is about as neutral as you can get.

nice rendition Peter - I've been looking for a new palette for my data on this target too - I can't get the Hubble palette to work for my taste.

Thanks Jason, cleary we both are having way to many cloudy nights, and re-grinding the same data.
