I'm in there somewhere
Day 4
January 4, 2010
You know those days that are just a fail?
I think I had one today.
Startled myself awake at 6:30am with some crazy scary movie nightmare.
Decided to just get up and watch some tv in hopes i'd get back to sleep.
What was the wrong move? Putting on P.S. I Love You. Holy hell why!?!?! I can't remember ever crying from beginning to end of a movie before ever. So not only did I have a headache from some lame ass cold i've been fighting, but now I had red swollen eyes and runny nose from crying all morning. Hi Sobfest 2010.
Somehow around noon I decided that i needed to scrub and mop the kitchen floor. Man oh man did it need it! Oh the lovely smell of Pine Sol and the windows and doors open. That put some pep in my step.
So I went and started separating the laundry.
Bam, fell asleep on the couch with laundry and cats on me.
Woke up groggy and headachey but carried on and went to the laundry. Took my book (Three Cups of Tea- which i am loving and also has made me cry) and finished up there at 5. Supermarket then home for dinner and pic taking. Never fully got out of my funk.
I think I'm missing home again.
More the people from home then the actual home, that apartment was a rats nest blech.
Gonna book some trips soon, home+detroit+a real vacation with the hubs, that oughta help :)
I'm sure tomorrow will be better

Sunday with a swirl
Day 3
January 3, 2010
Today has been uber lazy.
So glad I was on Facebook last night though and saw that the lovely Rhi needed a ride from the airport. The airport that just so happens to be in walking distance from my house. All the excuse i needed to actually get up and shower and leave the house hahahaha. It was super dee-duper finally meeting her too! I'm sure we'll be hangin soon.
What a gorgeous day out today! It was right around 80 degrees- finally able to open the windows to WARM UP the apartment. It's crazy how cold it stays in the house after a night of below 50 temps.
On the way back I thought it time to start this little project i've been thinking about. Basically, im making a pouch that will be filled with rice (thanks $.99 store!) that i can use as a makeshift ground level tripod. I was gonna go to a camera store and buy one of the little weighted bags, but this is much lighter and cheaper and puts my brains and hands to good use. I'll keep it in the trunk of the car prolly for those moments- cause damn i have many- when you need just a little something to get your camera just high enough off the floor for a sweeping wide shot + good for selfies and long exposures.
Now i'm off to edit some more pics from the last Salton Sea trip- i kinda forgot about them! I had only edited the ones with the model in them and skipped the generic scenic ones. Well the time has come. Off i go
p.s. that church down there was on the way back from Rhi's place- it was so prettiful i shot it through the sunroof
