fluid horizons

fluid horizons

sketches from a new project... fluid horizons.

a reverse, or inward looking, 360 degree exhibit of horizons at sea, in photographic form - with an additional light installation utilising sound art and visual simulations. the concept is one of creating a single continuous look - viewed through the medium of travel... never arriving, always leaving. migration as an experiment in understanding ocean currents and climatic changes.

images will form an ever changing ‘memory’ – exploring the state of recall, perception, and processing of months afloat with nothing more than a fluid horizon as company, intermingled with ones own thoughts, recollections and memories. some of the imagery will be the never-ending horizon, others will be memory simulations as fragmented motion, light and time.

Cyanotype Photographic Printing Kit

Cyanotype Photographic Printing Kit

So many people asked about the cyanotype chemicals when I last posted some cyanotype images

sooo.. I made this little kit and listed it on Etsy :o)

I make each one up by hand, so they will vary a little but each kit has everything you will need to create more than 10 cyanotype prints on A5 (148mm x 210mm) art paper. Kit includes ready mixed Cyanotype Sensitiser (liquid), Citric Acid (powder), 10 x A5 Art Paper, 10 x A5 Digital Contact Film (for making contact negatives), Brushes, Protective Gloves, and Full Instructions.

There's enough cyanotype chemical to print on all the paper supplied so you will likely have some chemical left over, which is ideal if you want to continue experimenting. You can coat cloth, wood, and many other organic materials and expose to the sun as with regular art paper.

If you are a flickr contact then Santa will give you a 10% discount.

Enjoy!
