Face in the Water

Do you see a face?
one
two
Face in the Water by Floating Imitations.
There is a ghostly face in the lower right corner. It's not me because I was holding the camera, and nobody else was around. This is a random puddle in the Weaselhead Flats natural area in Calgary.

.....things like this leave one to wonder........is somebody or something playing with us from afar........is it actually just a reflection from the angle the shot was taken.......or is Photoshop just too much fun....?

.....cool picture though.....

Thanks for your comments, Nikon Dude. I took the picture for the colors and reflections. However, after spotting the face, I can't help seeing it now.

...they're out there you know......playing with us.......letting us know that there's more to it than most would like to believe.....

I think it depends on the observer. I see at least 6 faces, though most of the other 'faces' are more abstract in appearance.

Oddly enough, the face you outlined looks like he's got his hand around a neck of a much smaller head too.

I see them too but afraid I am happy to accept that our minds simply try to impose something familiar on randomness. That doesn't mean to say 'they' are not out there though!

Thanks for your comments, Herb, Lilly, Chris, and Nikon Dude. I'll keep the notes on this picture in case "they" out there are looking. Or maybe they prefer not to be seen! :-)

I don't see any faces, really. Maybe an eye here, an ear there.

Anyway, wonderful shot. The colors are stunning!

Really? You are the first to say that. :-)

The colors are what led me to take the picture. I noticed one face when I got home. Then I started seeing more as they were pointed out. It's probably a good thing I didn't see any faces when I was in the bush taking the picture, or I would have run out of there.

Thanks for looking, Juliet!

Now I am just floating, discovering the integrity within the integral part of your stream, little by little. Your random puddle has nothing random in terms of composition and tonality... I see the faces too, but feel like swimming now. The bokeh is a great extra :-)

Thanks for looking around so to speak, Ann Marie. You may be interested to know I've been visiting ponds and bogs lately. :-)
