Yesterday our Sun Run training group completed 13 weeks of training together. "Much longer than a Kardashian marriage," notes one of our leaders.

It's called "Nordic Walking" and the addition of ski poles to speedwalking, works similar muscle groups as in cross-country skiing or an elliptical machine.

It's also that kind of activity which allows you to see your outdoors close-up, and also to enjoy in-depth discussions with people.

I discovered this during the Sun Run InTraining clinic, at Bonsor Recreation Centre in Burnaby BC -- Excellent program with competent leaders and relevant guest speakers. I'd recommend to anybody.
