Battlestar Galactica's Last Supper

Battlestar Galactica's Last Supper by brianfling.
When this incredible Last Supper-esque promo photo for season four of Battlestar Galactica appeared in Entertainment Weekly, I found myself spending 20 minutes trying to figure it out. Executive Producer Ron Moore hints that this one photo reveals many clues to the next season.

I cleaned this up and removed the hints as I think this is a great shot by itself. View the Entertainment Weekly site for all the hints.

Typically, in Last Supper paintings, Judas is on the opposite side of the table than everyone else (which in this case, would be the guy on the far right).

So I find it interesting that in the hints, they referred to the guy with his hand on his chin (4th person from the left) as "Judas like?". Maybe a clever way to throw people off that don't know this art trivia?

Bloody brilliant, as the Brits would say. BSG is definitely one of the best shows to hit TV in the last decade and I'm excited about the upcoming season. And without the hints, I've already got some ideas of what's to come...

As illustrated in the link above I believe this photo uses DaVinci’s representation of the last supper. If this is true, and one studies that painting, then the 12th disciple Judas is not present (In the paint it is believed that Judas is holding the payment for is betrayal and no one is holding anything in the photo). As Judas was a betrayer of Christ maybe the last unknown Cylon is Judas. Furthermore, if old six is a representation of Jesus than whoever is the last Cylon will betray six. Maybe helping the humans?
