I am inexplicably drawn to a few different places and Blomidon Provincial Park is one of those places. Every single trail is challenging, none of them offer any mercy.

HOWever, there's usually a good reason to work so hard. And I don't mean just the physical good that comes from making your heart pound and your muscles scream. Yes, that's a good thing but it doesn't feel like it at the moment! With every step up I didn't know if I was going to be able to take another. It was HOT and you have to navigate huge tree roots and ground that sometimes crumbles away under your feet.

But then you get to the top and ahhhhhhhhh!

Look at that view. So worth it!

Sometimes you just gotta climb that mountain.

Over the last several years I've started seeing Mayflowers out in early April. Last year they were all done by the middle of May and it looks like it could be like that again this year. There is a definite change in the seasons.

Pretty soon the big bees will be out!

There is nothing more magickal to me then a brook or stream making its way through the deep woods.

This particular hike was 3 hours of making our way up, then downstream.

I have a few different subjects that I thoroughly enjoy photographing. Running water is one of those "subjects" that makes me passionate about photography.

What a wonderful place!

The sky was totally clear tonight so I grabbed the Pentax and the tripod and headed to a spot I thought might give me a good view.

Welcome Spring!

I found a perfect spot to watch the full Crow super moon rise this evening.

As she rose in the night sky, the shimmer on the ocean made hanging out in the cold worth it!
