99.9% of a wren @ rio caliente
This wren hopped up on a fence right in front of me, so close I had to back up to get it in the frame. Unfortunately I didn't quite get the whole tail before it flew off.
Taken by the garden at Rio Caliente Hot Springs, in the Bosque la Primavera, west of Guadalajara. Commentsehoyer

Rock wren is quite geographically variable, but this doesn't look much like one - and spot-breasted wren doesn't occur in Jalisco. I'm fairly sure this is spotted wren Campylorhynchus gularis. What was the habitat?
