Flaunt ventured to DUMBO in Brooklyn to take part in the 2008 initial NY Photo Festival. The festival, curated by Martin Parr, Lesley A. Martin, Tim Barber, and Kathy Ryan, was initiated to showcase the future of contemporary photography which was exhibited across thirteen gallery spaces over four days. The Vernissage, aka the Curator's opening ceremony, was hosted at the Powerhouse arena offering a full buffet for guests to snack on as they enjoyed beverages courtesy of Stella Artois, Voss Water, and Rums of Puerto Rico.

The highly successful ribbon cutting party kicked off the festival where Flaunt's installation "Made in L.A." towered twenty feet in the air over the Arena headquarters, boasting nine years of fashion photography from Los Angeles photographers. To further push the L.A. agenda, the edgy fashion house Monarchy came on board to design the staff t-shirts for 300 of the volunteers.
