Haunted
Very creative title, I know.
It's a chilly, grey, rainy day today, so I decided to go on a trip looking for some interesting places to shoot. The primary shot is of a boarded up house a few miles down the road. I loved the way the miss-aligned levels give a feeling of detail and structure. There's nothing particularly interesting about this shot, nor any particular meaning to it.
For the main building, I took three raw shots bracketed at +/-1 EV, and combined them to an HDR image using CS3. I tone-mapped that into 16 bits, on Local Adaptation mode, using a strong curve to pop the blacks and whites. On top of that is a lot of colour and tone painting, mainly using hue/sat, colour gradients and colour washes.
The sky is Coming storm, generously donated by ~bloodlust-stock. It's desaturated and lightened up a little.
The figure is Umbrella I by ~Eirian-stock. She's been reduced and warped for the perspective. I used a couple of layers to get the contrast and darkness where I wanted it, but let the blue of the socks come in extra-strong.

White-Wolf Games
Alternate title: Delirium
My sister asked to take some photos of me with me camera. The deal was that she'd get some practice with a real DSLR (without it having to leave my sight), and some tips from me, plus some photos for her art project. I'd get some vain portraits. I have the royalty-free licence to use these photos for any purpose forever and throughout the world.
Most of the shots used harsh light and dark, because my sister wanted to practice trawing that in her new style. This shot was one in which I was originally messing about: snarling. With the help of trusty photoshop, it becomes dark, edgey, moody and low-key, the snarl is enhanced, and I get some teeth.
Look at that lycanthrope go. Rawr.

Fluorescent Bricks
Slightly old shot taken further down the southbank than i usually roam. I love this building: The fluorescent lights just beg for a shot. Further along to the left, it has the names of all the muses listed across it.
Processing was HDR from a single RAW, followed by much tweaking, with layers doing everything [including functions more commonly associated with the kitchen sink]. Details available if anyone is interested.
