Being the nerd I am, I couldn't help but feel mindblown being so close to something from NASA, and especially something of such importance. From Wikipedia:

"The facility contributes to the Deep Space Network's ability to provide the vital two-way communications link that guides and controls remote control drones and receives the images and new scientific information they collect. This complex is one of three NASA Deep Space Network complexes in the world"

How about that.

Siendo lo nerdo que soy, no pude evitar sentirme impresionado estando tan cerca de algo de la NASA, especialmente siendo algo tan importate como esto. De la Wikipedia:

"Una de las antenas de la estación (la de 34 metros, apodada la Dino) sirvió de apoyo, junto al resto de antenas de la Red del Espacio Profundo, al vuelo del Apollo 11 en 1969, primera misión tripulada en llegar a la Luna, y al resto de las misiones Apollo. «Sin las vitales comunicaciones mantenidas entre el Apollo 11 y la estación madrileña de Robledo de Chavela, nuestro aterrizaje en la Luna no habría sido posible», afirmó Neil Armstrong."

Metallica's "The Unforgiven" video, is one of my favorite videos of all time. So when I took this pic (which, by the way, is a sibling to this one), it reminded me a lot to it and its director, Matt Mahurin, an incredible artist whom I admire, admittedly mainly because of that video.
