      Aha, you found them. And what a geat photo. Looks like you took the same route as we did, climbing down from the tower, lunch at Fog City Diner, and riding the street cars back to our abode.

      Yes, finally! I still have trouble believing there is this sizable flock of parrots living here, even after seeing them.

      And good thing we did not follow my first idea to take that route in reverse. Climbing all those stairs would have been tough (with Mia in the Baby Bjorn).

      Yes, we actualy started up by the Marina, as the kids wanted to run down Lombard Street. We marched them up the back side, down Lombard all the way across and up to Telegraph Hill and then down to the Embarcadero. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of complaining.

      Birds, along with rats and cockroaches, are the one species that have been able to thrive despite man's encroachment on their environment.
