I had called Simpleji a few weeks back , she told me she was in hospital in great pain but would get back to me , we were working on a project..that was her baby.

Simple Kapadia passed away yesterday..due to cardiac arrest..I offer my condolences to Dimpleji and the bereaved family..and her assistant Shefali too.

My poem as a tribute to her soul


good bye dear friend
you fought bravely
till the end
the pain
the hospital visits
you did not bow or bend
your indomitable spirit
of survival lives on
with the Maker
in heaven it blends
a sister like dimple
godsend
who stood by you
fighting valiantly
the time
with you
she spent
healing your soul
preparing you
for the final journey
like a mother
she did tend
yes on his mercy
we all depend
