Someone probably let their kid 'taste test' that one. Along with some banannas and grapes and any other fruit that's weighable. You know. To see if they'd like them. Guess the kid didn't like peaches.

first of all its at the end of a saturday or sunday, the busiest shopping days of the week.
2nd of all its wal mart u get what u pay for. u want discount prices, ur gonna get 2nd rate quality and service.(how do u think they can sell so low).
if u have a problem with it dont shop there. go to a hi dollar grocery store where u pay more , but u get more quality and service.
ps. get a life if u have nothing else to do but take pictures of grocery stores, u need to get a life...........

Seriously though, nicnienat, that's dead on unsanitary. It would have had to be there for at least a few days to look like that. There's second-rate quality, and then there's call-the-health-department quality.

I live in Mexico, and Walmart Supercenter really has to be careful.
On the 31st of December they roasted some chickens and they were stinky, and that let's you know there is no quality control on what is being sold.
A comment was placed where they said that the people that work at Walmart are paid badly. If int he States that is said. Read about Mexico. The salary paid here is of $2400.00 pesos per month that almost $11.00 pesos per dollar, so an employee's monthly wage is about $218.00 dollars. And I'm talking about San Luis Potosi, it's a small city, nothing big. But quality is not good at all.

#1: I work for Wal-Mart & first I think " That store did some business that day to look so blown out! " but....
#2: Hey! Mr. Store Manager - Co Manager - Assistant Manager - Etc. Manager.... Get your lazy asses out of the back office and LOOK at your store! It's filthy! Your GM stockers suck! Your produce department sucks. Get your fat asses out off the smoke hole and THROW some freight! Drop you f'n cheese fries & Diet coke and grab a mop bucket and start cleaning!
#3: Don't be shocked by the half-eaten food. The cleaning products mixed with the grocery products, nor the toys or mixed up vegetables in produce. This is what our " valued customers " leaves for us to clean up, on a on going, daily bases. Ask any Wal-Mart " floor associate ".

I find it interesting how many folks have felt the need to defend WalMart in the comments instead of, you know, standing up for the consumer (uh, that's y'all, in case you forgot). It's not like you -- we -- deserve crappily stocked merchandise, spilled soap and food on the same shelves, rotted food, unsanitary shopping conditions....doesn't it seem a little odd that everyone is all "You get what you pay for! Sunday is a busy shopping day! WalMart is doing it's best!" It's a business. You're the consumer. We don't really deserve less because they charge us less, right?

Not to justify anything Walmart does(or does't do), I agree especially about the produce department, it is usually pretty nasty in some stores, clean in others, but the Walmarts in different neighborhoods/cities do make a difference. I mean, I have been to some Walmarts in different neighborhoods, and the customers(at some of the locations) are just as pitiful as the stores' employees. They are complete slobs, and do not care to clean up after themselves or their children. If they spill something, they just keep on going, rather than clean it up, or, at least informing an employee that they made a mess or broke something.
To tell you the truth, I despise going to Walmart in any neighborhood/city mostly because of the customers that shop at Walmart (please nobody take this personally, cause I am not speaking about all customers-but you know who you are) are rude, pushy, let their kids run rampant, and are inconsiderate of others. If I must go to A Walmart, I do it quickly and as painless-ly as possible
My suggestion, listen to the stories reported about Walmarts! Quit shopping there! If they start losing business and we as consumers start complaing to the right people, then maybe there would be some changes (or maybe Walmart would go away like it should).

P.S. I think I have seen that peach in all walmarts!
