Black Dog Syndrome

This is Smokie, he is a Pit Bull mix. He has a condition known as BLACK DOG SYNDROME. What this is is plain and simple... just being a black dog in the shelter system. Often times, black dogs and cats (and rabbits, etc.) are overseen by potential adopters simply because they are hard to show in the dimly lit kennels.

He is available at the Castaic Animal Shelter (Los Angeles Co.)
